Overview of Clinical
Services & Training Programs
Women/Men
Levels I & II.
Hope Haven has 60 beds for Men Levels I & II and
30 beds for Women Levels I & II. This program requires
a 6 month commitment. After admissions and
assessment, new Hope Haven residents are required to:
- Attend a two-week new resident orientation session
- Attend a minimum of four self-help group meetings
per week
- Receive individual and group counseling sessions
as scheduled
- If applicable, participate in a recommended Hope
Haven vocational training program
- Upon training completion, become employed full-time
and pay resident fees or, if disabled, volunteer and/or
attend school
Levels
III
The Level III program provides extended aftercare services
for residents for a maximum of 18 months. This program
offers continuing support services for up to 60 women
and men seeking to continue building a firm recovery
foundation. Residents in this program are expected
to:
- Stay in this program for a minimum of nine months
with a maximum stay of 18 months
- Be gainfully employed or a full-time student working
part-time
- Attend a minimum of three self-help group meetings
per week
- Attend individual and group counseling sessions as
scheduled
- Actively work on goals associated with post-Hope
Haven independent living
Families
Levels I & II
This program serves single parents with children, married
couples with children and married couples. Upon
admission into this program, residents are placed in
on-site apartment units. Participants in the
Families Program:
- Attend parenting classes
- Receive family and individual counseling
- Participate in specialized life skill training and
development
- Receive affordable housing referrals upon program
completion
Level
IV Independent Living
The Level IV Independent Living Program is located away
from the Villages campus and provides affordable and
permanent housing for graduates of Hope Haven. Currently,
this program houses only men and is intended for residents
who are independent, but still require affordable housing
in a substance-free environment.
Vocational
Training
Hope Haven's vocational
training programs provide residents with the skills they
need to re-enter the workforce, gain confidence to succeed,
and become economically independent while maintaining
recovery. Our vocational training programs also provide
services to the community. Training programs include:
- Catering: Hope Haven catering provides full service
catering for weddings, special events, and business

- ServSafe®® Certification classes: ServSafe®® is a registered trademark of the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, and used under license by National Restaurant Association Solutions, LLC a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Restaurant Association. The ServSafe® program is recognized by professionals internationally as the industry's standard of excellence in food safety. It is also one of the programs recognized by the North Carolina Division of Environmental Health as being approved for two educational points on health inspections of food service establishments. This certification improves the employability of Hope Haven clients.
- Commercial Laundry: Residents learn specialized
laundry skills in fabric care, operating a commercial
press and proper delivery service. Hope Haven provides linen
services for many local caterers and rental companies. Personal
laundry services are also available for a nominal fee. For

- Food Service: Food preparation of over 400 meals
per day.
- Building Maintenance: Grounds keeping, interior/exterior
building repairs, routine maintenance.

Hope Haven's resident
services provide residents with the tools to become successful
and economically independent members of the community.
